Making it our own.

Now that we've been at our new place for a few weeks and have had the chance to mostly unpack and catch our breath, we can start thinking about the projects that we want to work on in order to make our new place feel like our own.

Luckily, there is nothing that has to be done in order to make our home livable, but there are quite a few things that need to be done to make it us.

There are big projects and little projects that I can't wait to get started on. Big being things like the bathroom:
Holy pink tile Batman!

Little things like changing out the kitchen cabinet fixtures:
I have about a million plans and am so ready to bring this house to 2010...or 2011...2012... however long these projects will take.

Yummo.

I just discovered Plum Organics baby food, and I have fallen in love! Moreso, Dylan has fallen in love. The food combos are fabulous and they smell simply delicious.

Dylan has never been more excited for mealtime, as he knows that he gets this good stuff.

ps- sorry that Dylan has taken over my blog. I realize that baby food posts only appeal to .2% of the population.

Lazy day.

Today has been a much needed lazy day. The past week and a half has been absolutely crazy with moving across town as well as drama at work. It feels so nice to have nothing that needs to be done. This is what my day has been like:

Getting there.

We've been in our house since Saturday and we finally got cable and internet today!

Getting unpacked is definitely a long process... even longer when you have a 6 month old wild animal crawling around everywhere.

I feel like we have most of our things unpacked, other than the dozen or so bins located to my right (some pictured). Non-work time is spent unpacking, organizing, and trying to keep Dylan from putting anything he can into his mouth. Seriously, that boy has a knack for finding the most dirty/dangerous/disgusting item in the room, crawling to it in .5 seconds and then immediately putting it into his mouth. I love that crazy boy!

Silly boy.

Oh how I love my Dylan boy. He has such a cute, fun personality and makes life so great.
Here he is happy as a clam munching on some pears in his mesh fruit holder thing.
I think that's the technical name for it.
Num num num.

It's official.

We bought a house!

{hubs and I at the closing}

We bought ourselves a cute house in Orem (the one that I've previously posted about) and couldn't be more excited. This weekend is moving weekend and we're in need of some slave labor. Any takers?

I can't stop thinking about all my decorating ideas. Finally, my own place that I can paint and make my own! Huzzah!

Some Florida and some Dylan... mostly Dylan.

Warning: I posted an insane number of photos... and most of them are of Dylan. I know, I'm obsessed.
One of his first high chair experiences! He looks too little for it.
Dylan was more facinated with his pool toys than the actual pool. Typical.
This photo really describes the week. Ashton wanting to give Dylan a little too much love and the adults trying to rein things in.
Holy cow, this Exersaucer saved our lives during the week. I ordered it from Baby's Away along with a monitor. We had it for the week and it made things so easy and enjoyable!
This picture brings me joy. Joy!
This was as close as we got to Hogwarts. It killed me that we weren't able to go in!
Little guy loved the water by the end of the week.
Wyatt on the go.
We even brought the Exersaucer to the pool.

Vacation!

Coming at you from day 5 of our Florida vacation. So far things have been great, despite getting off to a rocky start. Here's a rundown of our activities thus far:

Day 1: Travel day. Braved a 4 hour flight from Salt Lake to Orlando with a baby in tow. Must day, Dylan did great and managed to make new friends wherever he went. There was another six month old baby a few rows back from us and I am proud to report that Dylan was much better behaved on the flight and much cuter as well.

Day 2: Easter Sunday. Being that we were in a hotel, it was hard to have a typical Easter, but all the kiddos got baskets, the family hung out around the laptop to watch conference, and we hung around the hotel pool in the evening.

Day 3: This was Magic Kingdom/golf day for everyone except for me and Dylan. Why? I managed to get sick, so Dangerboy and I hung out at the hotel allllll day. Kind of a drag if you ask me. We checked into our condo later that afternoon. Discover that my camera is missing.

Day 4: Pool day at the condo. Golf for the boys. Hung out together, had a great time, watched the fire dancers perform at night. Day 2 of missing camera.

Day 5: Finally find camera! Mom, Sarah, and I had a girls day without the kiddos. We lunched and shopped all day at the Florida Mall. I think that we were at H&M for nearly two hours. Can someone explain to me why there is an H&M in Qtar, but not in Utah? Grrr...

More vacation updates (and hopefully a picture or two) coming later this week!

Six Months.

Weight: 16 lbs 5 oz- 27th percentile
Length: 26 1/2 inches- 53rd percentile
Head: 16 3/4 inches- 18th percentile

I can't believe that my baby is already at his half birthday! Time has truly flown and I really wish that it would stop. Dylan is such a joy and makes me smile all day. Here is a little more about Dylan Danger:
- Wants to crawl sooooo bad. He is already scooting and likes to get up on his knees and rock back and forth.
-Loves baby food. Pears seem to be the clear favorite, but he also likes carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, peas, peaches, prunes, applesauce, and bananas.
- Finds a way to get where he wants to go. He rolls to his tummy, spins around in whatever direction he wants, and then rolls to his desired place.
-Can stay awake for up to 3 hours at a time, but usually gets sleepy around the 2 hour mark.
-Takes 3-4 naps each day for an hour each.
-Always babbles, squeals, and laughs. Recently he has started to say "yayayayayya."
-Is so facinated with the phone, remote, camera, keys, etc. I recently bought him a set of baby keys and he is so enchanted with them.
-Still smiles at anyone that will look at him
-Quite facinated with the cats. He grabbed Moo's tail the other day and Moo tried to whap him. Good thing my cats are declawed.
-Sleeps pretty good at night- usually goes down at 9 pm, sleeps for about 10 hours, has a bottle, and then sleeps until 8 am.
