Now I understand.

When I announced that I was preg, tons of people said, "Oh no, you have to be pregnant though the summer! It's going to be so hard!" My thoughts were, "Hello, it'll only be bad if I spend a lot of time outside. That's what a/c is for."
Now I understand.
Yesterday night I was in a 3 hour meeting in a small and cramped, yet air conditioned room. I swear, it felt like there was lava under my skin. Seriously, lava! I was so uncomfortably, unbelievably hot. I had to spend the entire meeting fanning myself with paper in order to get some relief.
Perhaps it's time to invest in a small, portable fan to take everywhere?

Oh my gosh...I was thinking exactly the same thing this morning about getting a portable fan. My coworkers had on jackets and were complaining because they said the A/C was so cold. I, on the other hand, was ready to pass out because it was so hot. I've started putting my cold water bottle up to neck...and when I had visions of relief from putting my head in the ice cooler...I started thinking about putting little baggies of ice down my shirt and around my neck.

I got that a lot too about being miserable in the summer heat. At the beginning of my pregnancy I went through a phase where I was freezing all of the time and couldn't get warm. Pregnancy sure does weird stuff to the body, huh?
