Simple Pleasures

There are some things in life that are really insignificant but give me much more excitement than, say, the average American. For example, I love changing the month on my calander. You know, just flipping the page. Having something new to look at in my office makes me more excited that it should. I also love seeing how nice my kitchen after making dinner, having a huge mess, and then getting things all cleaned up. The thought, "You would have never known that it looked like a disaster 30 minutes ago" goes through my head every time without fail.

Ben's simple pleasures are clean sheets and new socks. He loves them.

What are your simple pleasures? Please tell me I'm not the only one to love calander-flipping.

breeze from an open window, deleting emails before they are read, smell of fresh cut grass, and DDP.

I love the first sip of a fountain drink (through a straw of course). Clean baby smell. Folding laundry.

my simple pleasures...a new roll of toilet paper, emptying the dvr, and laying on the laundry when it's out of the dryer. I know, I am weird.

I love the feeling of changing into pajama's from my work clothes....

And the thought of not having to set my alarm clock for the morning....

And when I get to recycle.... especially using my re-usable grocery tote bags!

um, that picture is totally misleading. that isn't your kitchen!

i love dropping off my recycling, new blog comments, and the fresh smell of a spring rain. oh, and a looking out the window at a freshly cut lawn.

I love going to sleep knowing that I can sleep in. (Great for a seminary teacher!) I love the smell of roses growing on a rose bush- and sleeping with a cool breeze through an open window. I loved walking through Downtown Disney and hearing the wonderful Disney songs. It feels like all is well with the world. I also love summer storms.

So I'm a bit lame & some of other people's I'm stealing:)

Emptying the DVR (right on Katie!), sleeping in, unplanned days, making an amazing meal & having the time to do it, cute notes from friends or to friends, dessert.
