It's official.

None of my pants fit. Not even my fat jeans.

Thank goodness for my Bella Band- it lets me wear my pants unbuttoned and unzipped without my pants falling down or without giving innocent bystanders an eyeful.

I am greatly resisting maternity clothes at this point, although I know that I'll have to give in eventually. I'm just not ready yet! Maybe that means that I need to buy more maternity clothes? I vote yes.

Another thing that I'm not ready for? Stretch marks. I've been religiously applying cocoa butter to my stomach, sides, and hips twice each day in efforts to avoid looking like I have claw marks across my midsection. Ben thinks that it's really funny and likes to poke fun at my efforts.

Not saying that Ben has stopped being wonderful about all things baby Harris. He can't wait until he can feel him kick (btw, I've started to feel the "flutters." So weird!). In the meantime, Ben bought me the most fabulous Mother's Day gift- a Coach diaper bag. I'm in love with it- I want to carry it around as a purse right now, it's that beautiful. My husband knows my tastes.

My mom never got ANY stretch marks. I didn't get any on my stomach. If I was 30 pounds lighter I could still wear a bikini! Hope that gives you a glimmer of hope - it does happen sometimes!!! :)

I'm gonna have to look up this bella waste band thingy you are talking about.

Just give in and buy the maternity clothes, they are SO MUCH more comfortable. When I finally bought some black work pants with the stretch band, it was awesome. Also, I never bought maternity shirts...the style right now is perfect for prego people with non-fitted shirts. Give in...do it. Buy maternity clothes :)

I fought maternity clothes too, but I LOVED the jeans once I found some I liked. You'll feel SO much better once you switch. Which Coach diaper bag did he get you? When I was in college I bought the black leather one to use as my school bag and have only used it a couple times as a diaper bag. I love it! Pictures of the bag, please!

Christine! I love this post. I cried the first time my sister tried to take me maternity clothes shopping. I was just NOT ready. It's so hard being in the middle when you are getting bigger but just feel chubby and not prego. You will like them later, but wait until you are ready! Way to go Ben on the gift and feeling the baby you will LOVE!! It's the part (maybe the only one...) you will miss just a little after pregnancy. I sure love you!

Oh the joys!! I remember waiting as long as I could to put on the maternity clothes. It's a pride thing, totally get it. Funny thing...once you put them on you wonder why you waited so long!! They are sooooo comfy. Good luck on the stretch marks. You do have hope from your fam!! I got mine at the end. I knew it was time for Andie to come out when I saw them appear!
